We were on our way to a Labor Day weekend wedding in Rapid City,SD...(who gets married on Labor Day weekend?..but I digress...) Stopped for lunch at The Pointe. The front of the building is being remodeled so there was no signage except for a small sign on the side door that said OPEN...we entered and sat at a table near the horseshoe-shaped bar. This place was huge and the decor was industrial...black and galvanized aluminum...very NYC. The server, Jacqueline, was friendly and knew the menu well; she made suggestions as we pondered what to order...even mentioned the size of the servings. My sister-in-law and I had a Bloody Mary & a snit... (I think it was Sedaris who said,"Tomato juice without the benefit of vodka is a total waste of time.") This drink was amazing...two large chunks of cheese, a hot pepper, a pickle spear, and large olives ...a bourbon -brined slice of bacon wrapped around a skewer and grilled...What a great presentation! Then we met Andrew, the chef who let us sample his garlic-infused vodka concoction to be used in future Bloodly Mary's. We decided on the half turkey bacon avocado sandwich and chicken wild rice soup. Delicious! I envy you Prior Lake people to have this establishment in your backyard...it features music, bingo, and the entire front area for family dining which can be reserved for parties, meetings, wedding receptions, etc.I think we might have to stop on our way back home so I can try the pulled pork or the Reuben....and of course, another Bloody M!

Been here three or four times since open. Friendly service, excellent soups and sandwiches, and nicely remodeled. Will absolutely be back. Want to check out some of the bands as well. Nice job!

We love The Pointe! The food is always amazing, the best burgers around. The waffle fries and seasoned sour cream are a must have. They can get busy on weekends, but it's a great place to watch sports with their huge screen tv. The wait staff is sometimes overwhelmed, but they are always apologetic and trying their hardest to make you happy. Their Bloody Mary's are really good, almost a meal on their own! The food keeps us coming back! Keep up the good work!!

Nothing special. The staff is kind but I just can't think of anything that is noteworthy about this place.

It was my first time and I had the western bbq chicken sandwich. It wasn't bad, but it felt like a generic chicken breast that was grilled and had toppings. The potato chips it came with was better seasoned. My order was for takeout

Prime Rib Special on Saturdays sucks! The prime rib was so rubbery & stringy, the knife didn't want to cut through it. It obviously was not prepared right/long enough to break down the fibers. Way too much garlic seasoning. Same goes for cheesy hash -- way too much garlic. The green beans were actually ok. The dish is definitely not worth $19 a person. I brought my family in, and none of us could finish the dish, so after dropping a small fortune, we had to go to another restaurant to get a better meal.

the 3rd (and last time) that i went there and waited more then 20 minutes for a waiter to come. actually i always had to go and find them. this very last time there was a sign for buffalo wings halfsize for 3 $. after i finally found a waitress i ordered two half portions. i got charged 18 $ as the sign was from the day before. this is not acceptable. the service is lausy and we won t be back.

This place looked a lil scary the first time I was there like the food would be terrible but it's quite the opposite. The skewers are amazing steak and bacon wrapped shrimp.

I've seen this establishment transform from Hollywood to The Basement and now The Pointe and I love how it looks now! It's a lot brighter in the dining area and the food is fantastic, from the variety to the quality! I had the Burkey Turger which was a turkey burger topped with cheese, a fried egg, half an avocado, bacon and garlic sriracha aioli. One of the best burgers I've had! The other members of my party had similar experiences with fresh ingredients and interesting menu combinations. I can't wait to return to try the other menu options!

We just moved from a neighboring suburb and thought we would try The Pointe. We went early to avoid the Saturday night bar crowd. It was 5:15pm and it was so loud - The bar portion of the restaurant was spilling out into the dining room where lots of young kids were dining with their parents, including ours. I was told by the owner, that the restaurant and bar were separated by a wall so this not being my typical place ( I hate bar/grills), we thought we would give it a try. We waited a very long time to be greeted by a server. I had to go up and ask the hostess to find someone. I saw her speak to a guy, clearly we were not his table but, he agreed to take us and thank God he did. He was so friendly, kind and truly friendly. Everything came out right, not one complaint from the table as a matter of fact the food was GREAT!. I had a California Turkey Burger, In Laws had an Omelet burger and hubby the walleye sandwich. Kids went with grilled cheese and bacon with waffle fries and not one complaint in the bunch. Nice sized servings too. The waiter asked if we were happy, I said yes. He asked if I would come back, I said "no" and said "well, at least you are honest" Hey, Im a Brooklyn girl from NY - there is no sugar coating here lol - I said "you were great, food was great but, the noise level is unbearable" I know the restaurant cannot control that but, its a big deal for me. If you like the bar/grill sort of thing with more of an upscale menu, you will love it here.

Fantastic food and atmosphere. Service is always top notch and food consistency is spot on. Very kid friendly as well as the menu has choices for all. Try the ultimate Bloody Mary with the peppered vodka you won't be dissapointed. I hadn't tried this place until April and have lived in the area for 18 yrs. I now frequent the Pointe on a weekly basis. Thanks for having a place myself and my family feel welcomed at. Maybe a Mac n cheese pizza for me on my next visit. Cheers

Service was good, food was just awful. Hubby had the special of ribs which was suppose to come w/fries and cole slaw, ribs arrived chared black on the back and had to ask for the cole slaw. I ordered the skewers I didn't want the rice well I got 6 medallions of beef about 1/8 in thick, 3 dry Irish potatoes and the vegi skewer had a very little red onion, 2 3/4 in chunks of zucchini and a littler piece of red pepper. It was support to have sour cream for the potato, ranch for the veggies and horseradish for the beef none of which did I receive plus it was barely Luke warm. This was on July 6th about 5PM. Will not return.

Decent food, had the skewers, and a beer... however the service is awful! I waited nearly 30 minutes for a refill and had to find my waitress to get my bill... All she was interested in doing was chatting with the other staff members and helping people she obviously knew...

My wife heard that The Pointe was finally open. The new owners have been working feverishly to renovate The old "Basement" for some time now. The food was exceptional, especially given the fact they are still working out the new restaurant bugs. My wife ordered a beautiful Caprese chicken sandwich. Since we have moved from Northern California, she has been dissapointed, as there has been limited fresh food here in MN. She was so excited about this sandwich- fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, fresh tomatoes on a grilled baguette....outstanding! Golden brown crunchy waffle fries-yum! Wished I had taken a photo. I had chicken and steak skewers.... Perfect for my low carb diet. Yummy sauces to choose from. If I recall, kids eat FREE Sun through Wed. We will definitely take advantage of that with our finicky 8 year old I believe Ryan the owner came to check on us and was super friendly. You have to wish a guy Iike him luck. Not sure about the nightclub bar... not for me, but our first experience was great... Heard another family expressing their appreciation for two great experiences thus far. Heads up to management. Gotta keep the drinks refilled good luck guys!!

Be prepared to have your girlfriend, wife, sister or whatever get creeped on by the bouncers and old creepy locals. Poor service, worse food, and a terrible stench.
